Lindsey C. Runyon, Allied Member ASID; LEED AP
I grew up in the Seattle area which makes me a rare Northwest Native. As the daughter of an architect,
I was able to pursue my interest in design at an early age. In 2005, I graduated from the Washington State University
Honors College, magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design and a minor in Spanish. After graduation,
I spent about a year living in Valencia, Spain. The experience gave me an international perspective which I carry through to my design
work. My professional experience has taken me from visual display & merchandising, to commercial & residential interior
design. The variety has given me the opportunity to both work hands-on with products to create pleasing arrangements,
and to learn the technical aspects of a multifaceted industry.
Overall, I am a visual person and a designer at heart. I have a thirst for knowledge, and I am particularly interested
in the different cultures and languages of the Mediterranean. I am an idealist, an optimist, an environmentalist, an urban
enthusiast, and a night person. When I am not designing, I enjoy sailing, yoga, reading, photography, wine, and the company of
friends. I feel best in hot weather, but I also have a strong affection for the city of Seattle. In general, I love and appreciate the imperfect beauty
that surrounds our daily lives.
